Aku mencoba menoleh kebelakang,

Menelusuri jejak kaki putaran waktu

Aku mencari jejak pijakan kaki jarum jam,

Dimana aku membuka lebar mulutku,

Tertawa bersamamu..

Seringkali aku berhenti pada jejak dimana kita bertengkar,

Dimana kita tak saling percaya

Tapi aku tak menangis saat mengingatnya,

Aku hanya tersenyum kecil,

Sambil mendesah “aku merindukan saat-saat itu”

Aku bukan sosok yang hanya menginginkan tawa,

Tapi juga bukan berarti aku menginginkan air mata

Aku bukan sosok yang hanya mengenang masa-masa indah,

Tapi aku juga mengenang masa-masa,

Dimana kita bertengkar dan saling menyakiti

Terkadang hal yanng sering membuatku menangis,

Justru menjadi kenangan indah bagiku..

Dimana aku menangis dan belajar menjadi dewasa (*)

Sejenak aku terhentak,

Kakiku berhenti pada satu titik

Kaki yang awalnya semangat untuk berlari,

Kini untuk melangkah pun ia enggan

Mataku memandang ke langit dan menelusuri setiap sudutnya

Seketika, tetes demi tetes air mata menghujani pipiku

Mataku memerah,

Bibirku terbungkam,

Dan hatiku menjerit kesakitan

Perlahan aku menutup mataku

Menenangkan segala gejolak yang menggelora di hatiku

Bibirku menampakkan senyum kecil

Aku menarik nafas panjang dan menghembuskan untaian doa

Perlahan aku membuka mataku

Mengintip pintu impian

Melalui celah langit di antara awan

Aku hanya menyebut satu nama di setiap untaian doaku

Segala harapan segera kukatakan

Aku percaya, percaya, dan percaya,

Bahwa Tuhan akan mendengar setiap doaku

Tuha akan menjawab doaku,

Dan memberikan pelangi di antara hujan yang segera berlalu

Bersama nyanyian air hujan,

Yang samar-samar mulai menghilang,

Angin pun membisikkan kekuatan padaku

Pada setiap kerapuhan yang melandaku (*)

Dalam langkah yang  begitu berat

Aku menerobos pekatnya malam

Pipi ini masih saja basah

Air mata ini terus menganak sungai

Merangkak, berjalan, berlari, aku mencoba mengejarmu

Engkau ibarat secarik kertas harapan untukku

Tak seorang pun dapat merebut, menyentuh, atau pun mendekatimu

Aku memang tak seindah mawar

Hatiku pun tak sebersih salju putih

Tapi apakah sebuah kesalahan,

jika aku mempertahankanmu?

Mata yang awalnya membisu,

kini telah mencelotehkan banyak kata

Apakah aku tak akan bisa bersamamu,

seperti raja siang dan dewi malam yang mustahil untuk bersatu?

Mengapa tak kau beri setetes kasih sayang,

pada orang bodoh sepertiku?

Aku selalu mengingat setiap katamu

Kau bilang kau bagaikan cahaya,

yang selalu menemaniku dalam gelap

Kau bilang kau bagaikan merpati,

yang tak pernah ingkar janji

Dan kau pun pernah bilang,

bahwa kau adalah paseo,

yang selalu menghapus setiap air mata dukaku

Tapi apa sekarang kau tau?

Kegelapan cinta telah menaungiku,

dan cahayamu tidak nampak sedikit pun

Sekian juta janji telah ku nanti,

dan tak satu pun kau tepati

Ribuan anak sungai telah memenuhi pipiku,

tapi kau tak ada untuk menghapus setitikpun

Tapi mengapa, mengapa, dan mengapa,

kau lakukan ini padaku?

Mengapa kau memberiku air mata, duka, dan kesedihan?
